Forced marriage is a practice in which a marriage takes place without the free consent of the individuals getting married, where pressure or abuse is used to ‘force’ one or both people to marry against their will.

Resource Hub - MOSAIC

The Trans Newcomer Online Resource Hub is an online community where newcomer transgender folks (refugee claimants, refugees, protected persons, immigrants, work/study permit holders, and anyone who feels new to B.C.) can access settlement related information and resources, find peers and mentors, and build a network of support.

The Centre for Research and Education on Violence Against Women & Children (CREVAWC) is committed to the development and application of knowledge for the prevention of violence against women and children through promoting innovation, collaboration and equality. 

GENDER-NET PlusViolence Against Women Migrants and Refugees: Analyzing Causes and Effective Policy Response Funded in Canada by CIHR as one of the international partners in the GBV-MIG Project, a winning project of the Gender-Net Plus Consortium

Established in 2005, the Centre for the Study of Social and Legal Responses to Violence focuses its research activities on understanding the impacts of social and legal responses to violence. 

IRCC page on family violence with resources for spouses or partners who are experiencing abuse.  This page can help with identifying abuse or neglect and getting help.  It also has some resources cards in different languages

The Gender-Based Violence Knowledge Centre (KC) is the focal point of the Gender-Based Violence Strategy. The KC is responsible for coordination, data and research, reporting, and knowledge mobilization.

IRCNFF

The goal of the Immigrant and Refugee Communities - Neighbours, Friends and Families (IRCNFF) Campaign is to raise awareness about the warning signs of woman abuse and promote bystander intervention within immigrant and refugee communities across Ontario.
